INSPECTION PROCEDURES

SWIMMING POOLS, SPAS AND HOT TUBS

U.C.C. Permit #___________

  1. Building permit must be posted on the site of the work until completion of the project.

  1. Your approved plans must be available at all times for inspections. These are the plans that were submitted with your application and were marked “Approved” by the Building Code Official.

  1. The permit applicant or authorized agent is responsible for scheduling all inspections.

  1. DO NOT schedule an inspection if the work is not ready!!!!

MINIMUM OF 24 HOUR NOTICE REQUIRED TO

MIDDLE DEPARTMENT INSPECTION AGENCY, INC.

Please notify MDIA Inspectors at 1-800-962-MDIA (6342) at each stage.

ALL POOLS:

  1. Electrical Inspection –

A. Bonding all metal parts (rebar if concrete, ladder, etc) associated with pool.

Date and time called              #              .

B. Underground to be inspected prior to cover.

Date and time called              #              .

  1. If Installing Deck Around Or Next To Pool – Use inspection procedure for decks also.

Date and time called              #              .

  1. Safety Barrier Inspection – Done prior to filling pool with water.

  1. Final Electrical.
